October 2025 Chairman's Chat
Dear Members,
This past month, our chapter had an outstanding turnout and experience at the Urschel Labs tour. Over 40 participants joined us for an inside look at their impressive operations, and the event was a resounding success. On behalf of NIAFS, we’d like to extend our sincere gratitude to the Urschel Labs team for graciously opening their doors and giving us this opportunity.
As we reflect, it’s clear that integrating the younger generation into our society is vital to our continued growth. We all have a role to play in stressing the value and importance of what AFS offers whether it’s through mentorship, sharing career opportunities, or simply inviting new faces to events. Your perspectives and input are essential: what can we do differently to show potential members, especially those not yet involved, the value our organization provides?
We recognize that all of us reading this are already engaged, and that can sometimes create blind spots. To grow, we need to understand from those outside our circle what would make AFS compelling for them. Please share any feedback or suggestions you have. We’re eager to listen and act.
October’s meeting will be held at the Honeywell Center in Wabash, Indiana. We’re excited to welcome MAGMA as our Company of the Month sponsor. They will be supporting our networking/happy hour. Our technical speaker will be Konstantin Nikolov, Senior Application Manager at MAGMA, who will bring valuable insights to the group.
